On October 22nd, the israeli state designated 6 Palestinian NGOs, Al-Haq, Addameer, Bisan Center, Defense for Children International-Palestine, the Union for Agricultural Work Committees, and the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees, as terrorist organizations. They all play important roles contributing with data and facts on the ground to document the occupation, apartheid, ethnic cleansing and human rights violations by the Israeli state. They are providing important facts and data from the ground, fighting for womens rights and giving crucial legal aid and support for Palestinian political prisoners. This criminalization is targeting important voices and organizations, who are informing the international community about the zionist occupation of Palestine, and thus changing the paradigm internationally.

Israel is criminalizing all forms of resistance against their illegal occupation and ethnic cleansing – and with this measure, by criminalizing human rights NGOs, they take it a step even further. For a long time, and through different initiatives, zionist forces has tried to spread false information about Palestinian NGOs, to make them lose their funding and it is not the first time that Palestinian human rights NGOs has been designated terrorist organizations by Israel. Even the boycott movement has been labeled as a “new form of terrorism”, by Israeli president Isaac Herzog. The occupation state is making a huge effort, to silence Palestinian voices, on the national, regional and international level to control the narrative of what is actually going on and to protect their colonial project from any resistance.

We will never accept the criminalization of the Palestinian struggle for justice, self determination and freedom!

Freedom struggle is not terrorism – Free Palestine!
